Compress PDF to 200KB

A 200 KB cap is common for single-page proofs such as a certificate or caste/income document. Upload the PDF and we will bring it under the limit.

Choose your file

Pick from your files or gallery. You can also drag a file here.

Required size

We create the highest-quality file possible within this limit.

Compression rebuilds each page as an image: text may no longer be selectable, form fields and links are flattened, and any existing digital signature (DSC / eSign) becomes invalid. If signature validity matters, do not modify a signed PDF.

Private by design. This tool runs entirely inside your browser — your file is never uploaded to us or to any other server. How this works

  • No signup
  • Free to use
  • Processed in your browser
  • No watermark

What this tool produces

  • Target size: 200 KB maximum.
  • Best suited to documents of one to three scanned pages.
  • Remove pages you do not need to submit before compressing.
  • Password-protected or damaged PDFs cannot be processed; remove the password in your PDF viewer first.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload the PDF.
  2. Keep the limit at 200 KB.
  3. Press Compress PDF.
  4. Open the download and confirm the writing is readable.

What this tool changes

Page size and order stay the same. The scanned page images inside the PDF are re-encoded at a lower but still legible detail level until the whole file fits under 200 KB.

Common upload problems

We could not reach 200 KB
Your PDF probably has many scanned pages. Submit only the required pages, or ask the portal whether a larger limit applies.
The scan is dark or shadowed
A cleaner scan compresses much better. Re-photograph the document flat, in daylight, without shadows.

Frequently asked questions

Will my PDF still be searchable?
No. Compressed pages become images, so text cannot be selected. Portals accept this for uploaded documents.
How much reduction should I expect?
Phone-scanned documents commonly drop by 80–95%. Text-only PDFs are already small and change less.
