What this tool changes
50 KB is comfortable for a passport-style photograph and generous for a signature. We search for the highest JPG quality that lands under your limit, so the file shrinks without visibly changing the picture. Resizing changes pixel dimensions; compression changes only how much detail is stored.
Common upload problems
- The portal rejected the file even though it is under 50 KB
- Check the format and dimensions too. Many forms want JPG only, plus a pixel size such as 200 × 230.
- The image became blurry
- Crop the empty area around the subject first, then compress — the same 50 KB is then spent on the part that matters.
- How do I verify the final size?
